A Big Milestone (For Me)

A few days ago, my short story, The Final Kiss, hit its 500th download. This won't seem like a lot to some authors out there, but to me, the fact that 500 people chose to download this and give it a try, means a lot, especially when over 400 of those downloads was in the last three weeks.

I'm a geek/nerd. I don't really understand marketing, and self-promotion other than what I've experimented with online in the last six months. As someone who grew up with a very low sense of self-esteem, talking about myself or trying to advocate for myself can painful to put it mildly. What I DO love talking about, is writing. I LOVE writing. I will keep writing stories, and keep trying to make them better for the rest of my life. If I live an average lifespan, that means I have at least another 30 years of writing ahead of me before I shuffle off this mortal coil.

I used my lockdown isolation to write... A lot... Since COVID began, I've written four novels, as well as my Shadows Of Athelon short series, plenty of poetry, and sketched out ideas for another dozen novels.

While I anticipate my output slowing in the next two years as I focus on other career aspects and school, I will keep writing, and have some really fun ideas in the works.

Thanks for coming along for the ride,

Qualia
